“Make Good Use Of The Network Through This Modernization And Technological means” ~ Hon Ursula Owusu Ekuful

Two communities, Sefwi Nkwadum and Sefwi Esaase in the Sefwi Akontombra of western north region have been connected to the rural telephony network under the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) projects.

The minister of communication and Digitalization who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma west, Hon Ursula Owusu Ekuful on her speech when commissioning the Aerial Fiber telephony communication mast stated that the vision of president, Nana Akuffo-addo is focused on supporting more rural communities to have access to internet in this era.

Hon Ursula, commended Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC) for building such telecommunication mast to these communities without considering initial challenges as an obstacle and appealed to the communities to make good use of the network through today’s modernization and technological means.

Hon. Ursula Owusu Ekuful again appealed to the community members to use the new network and their Ghana card to re-register their SIM cards within the two months given period.

On his part, the members of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra constituency, Hon Alex Tetteh revealed that since Akontombra district was created, it is only Akontombra and Nsawora that were connected to network, but since he became the Member of Parliament, the NPP government has connected most of the communities to have access to network.

He commended, hon. Ursula Owusu and the ministry for their tremendous efforts done to assist the inhabitants in Akontombra constituency to benefit from GIFEC projects.

Again, the chief of Sefwi Nkwadum, Nana Owusu Kwaw Tawiah ll on behalf of the community expressed his gratitude to the Minister for communication and Digitalization and the Akontombra member of Parliament, for supporting the communities to have access to Network.
