According to the Chiefs in a press conference led by the Chief of Abetifi and Kwahu Adontenhene, Akyemfour Asiedu Agyemang III, expressed his displeasure about the way and manner the fulani herdsmen are terrorising the farmers in the Afram Plains enclave.
He added that, no land apart from the fodder bank has been released to any fulani herdsmen and that, they must stay within that zone only and give the farmers peace of mind to do their work.
He however urged the government to intervene to ensure that, the recalcitrant herdsmen are moved out of the area, else they will flash them out in their own way.
The Krontihene of Pitiku and a member of the fodder bank committee, Nana Adu Paako II, also added that, most of the herdsmen are not willing to take their animals to the fodder bank and if the government do not take steps to ensure to rectify the situation, the worst will happen and the peace in the area will be tempered with.
