“I’ll Institute Tafo-Pankrono Development Fund” NAELP Coordinator, Dr Serwaa Donkor files nomination form

The National Coordinator for Alternative Employment and Livelihood Program and NPP Aspiring candidate for the New Patriotic party in Old Tafo constituency in the Ashanti region, Dr Serwaa Donkor has filed her forms to contest the seat for the area on Monday.

Before the submission, Sompahemaa as popularly known in Tafo-Pankrono firstly visited the Paramount Chief of Tafo traditional council, Nana Agyen Frimpong Ababio for his favor and blessing.

Hundreds of people mostly polling station executives, electoral area coordinators and NPP sympathizers across the constituency on Monday cladded in their party colors and trooped into the street of Tafo to show their support for the former UG-Legon SRC president.

Handing over the forms to the constituency elections committee chairman, Dr Serwaa Donkor assured delegates and party supporters to establish development foundation for the constituency.

“We cannot only rely on government’s fund or leave every problem in the community unto the government therefore, it’s my plan to institute Tafo-Pankrono Development Fund, an organization that will aimed at soliciting monetary support for developmental projects in the constituency” she revealed.

According to her, as a leader one should have innovative ways to bring development to the people and that is what she stands for.

Dr Serwaa when elected shall become the first female Member of Parliament for the constituency which will also make a remarkable history in the constituency as far as politics is concerned.

She has since come second in the 2020 parliamentary primaries against the current MP, however has greatest zeal and very optimistic to claim the baton to restore unity, bring development to the people of Tafo and Pankrono.

The National Coordinator however appealed for unity ahead post-elections as she believes after the primaries, there must be massive support for NPP and the presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia to break the eight.

Only two people has filed to contest the upcoming primaries in old Tafo Constituency which makes the race becomes fierced one.

She therefore appealed to delegates to this time support and vote for her for since 2020 after losing the primaries, she never turned her face back on them rather, exhibited true love and support towards them.
