Ghana Gas Should Sell LPG Cheaper To Help Suffering Ghanaians: Energy Expert Fumes

Mr. Kwadwo Nsafoa, flagbearer Hopeful to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), toured Western North Region to interact with the teeming youth at Sefwi Bekwai, in the Bibiani Anhwianso Bekwai Constituency.

In an interview with Kwame Kontor Boateng Lord fm, Mr. Kwadwo Nsafoa, flagbearer Hopeful and Energy Expert, stated that, LPG is supposed to be cheaper and clean fuel for domestic use. To save the environment, the poor in the society are encouraged to use LGP instead of charcoal.

He said, Ghana Gas gets LPG as a by-product from the natural gas from our oil fields. Natural Gas is mainly methane (95%), which Ghana Gas supplies to the power -producing companies to generate electricity. But to his surprise, the LPG, part of the Natural Gas is sold to a company called Quantum Terminal Group, which to him, shouldn’t be so, to help the ordinary or poor Ghanaian.

Mr. Kwadwo Nsafoa, anticipate that by the next window which start beginning of next month, petrol prices will seen a reduction which call for the cedi to regain its strongest in the international market.

Notwithstanding, Mr. Kwadwo Nsafoa was quick to add that though, there has been series of unfortunate incidents in their polling station elections but will say that most of the constituencies enjoyed peaceful atmosphere and appeal to the party leadership to encourage the online to prevent future confusion.
