Ensure Prostate Cancer Treatment Covered under NHIS- Speaker of Parliarment Petitioned

The National Chairman for the Ghana Highway Authority Retired Staff Association, Nana Nanabanyin Queesy Ninsin-Imbeah II has petitioned the Right Hon. Speaker of Parliament to cover prostate cancer under the National Health Insurance Scheme NHIS, stating that, it is completely unfair and absolutely discriminatory, and a gross injustice for Breast and Cervical Cancers to be covered under the NHIS and NOT PROSTATE CANCER.

According to the Ex-Nyimfahen of the Mfantseman Council in the Ashanti Region, Nana Nanabanyin stated in a Petition addressed to the Ghana Speaker of Parliament and copied the Chief of Staff and the Majority and Minority Leaders of Parliament that it is not pleasant to be silent for other to also experience the effect of undetected and the troubling effect of prostate cancer, therefore, the submission of this petition for and on behalf of prostate cancer patients, all receiving treatment for the same ailment and those unknowingly suffering same for the kind perusal and consideration of Parliarment.
