COVID-19: secret of the recent upsurge, a Muslim Leader hints

The upsurge in the covid-19 cases of Ghana should be on Doctors and health experts for not being bold to call off the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections to contain the spread of the pandemic, this is a big time disappointment to Ghanaians the Ashanti regional Chairman for the Muslim Executive Foundation, Mr. Abubakari Musa has said.
According to the him, health experts should have cautioned the government to halt the 2020 general elections instead.

He said leadership of the government and health workers usually sit aloof until when they see the white people or the Western Countries come out to announce upsurge in their cases before they are also alerted to remind Ghanaians.

“It’s sometimes very disturbing that we only sit unconcerned as if nothing is at stake, until when the white men come to claim there has been an upsurge in their cases before Ghanaian doctors also come out to caution Ghanaians. People do not take issues serious due to how doctors handle the cases. Why did they keep quiet during the entire period of the election where these politicians were using people multitudes for their selfish gains?” He quizzed.

In an interview with heroesghnews.com the Kumasi based Business man disagreed to the claims that the upsurge has been caused by the Christmas festivities and however blamed every cause on politicians.

According to him Despite blaming everything on politicians and doctors for their negligence, the recalcitrant Ghanaians must obey all the laid down protocols since the covid-19 is real.
adding that it’s high time we come to a concernscious agreed to depoliticize state institutions such the security, health, and education services.
