Ahafo Goaso: Police Women Donate Health Equipment to Hospital

Goaso Hospital Females Ward In Bad State ~ Ahafo Police Women Provide Support

Police Ladies Association (POLAS) Ahafo Branch has donated items to the female ward of Goaso Government Hospital to help improve quality healthcare.

Presenting the items which include BP apparatus, nebulizers for asthmatic patients, 30 pieces of bed sheets and 30 pieces of pillows to the hospital on behalf Ahafo Police Women, the Ahafo Regional DOVVSU Coordinator, ASP Mavis Kamassah told that the state of the females ward is not in good shape so as POLAS celebrates its 70th Anniversary themed ” Celebrating 70 Years Of Women Policing In Ghana, Her Evolution and Future” they thought it wise to provide support to help enhance quality healthcare which is key to everyone.

According to her, some months ago, a female officer was admitted and per their visit they noticed that the ward is in dying need of items, so as a female association members found it touching to support other female.

The Medical Superintendent of Goaso Government Hospital, Dr. James Ankomah who received the items on behalf of the hospital thanked the Ahafo Police Women for their support which is timely and relevant because that particular ward is in need of many items. He used the opportunity to appeal to others to help the hospital to have all the relevant items to help improve healthcare of residents.
