Achiase: Over Two Hundred People Receive Start Up Capital From Gov’t, MP

ACHIASE: OVER TWO HUNDRED PEOPLE GET START UP CAPITAL FROM GOV’T AND MP

The member of parliament for Achiase constituency in the Eastern region; Hon. Kofi Ahenkrah Marfo popularly called “Chairman Marfo” in Ghanaian politics has presented set up capitals consisting of sowing machines and hairdryers to over two hundred people who are entering into apprenticeship for skills acquisition and also paid their knocking fee to their masters.

He also presented cheque of Ghc1,000 each to over thirty university students across the Achiase constituency to settle their tuition fee from the MP’s support fund in order to ease financial burden on students and parents in this difficult times.

He together with his DCE; Hon. Richmond Kofi Amponsah Agyebeng and chiefs and elders of Akyem Achiase cut a sod for the construction of Achiase market which works would take less than five months to be completed as assured by the contractor.

In order to make transport system easily accessible for his constituents, he in consultation with the MetroMass transit managing director; Mr. Albert Adu Boahen have handedover two new MetroMass buses to transport passengers from Achiase to Oda, Kumasi, Accra and other places at an affordable prices.

Hon. Kofi Ahenkrah Marfo speaking to Peace FM explained the need to assist people to learn trade, pay fees for university students across the constituency, make transport easy and affordable for the people and also constructing a market for Achiase people in this difficult times.

The district chief executive for Achiase district and double as dean for all MMDCE’s in the Eastern region and Ghana as a whole speaking to Peace FM shared his excitement for government building a market for the people of Akyem Achiase which will increase revenue generation for the district to foster rapid development.

Some of the university students and people assisted to learn trade who were beneficiaries shared their excitement and thanked their MP; Hon. Kofi Ahenkrah Marfo for his support and pledged never to let him regret for helping them in life.
