Fighting Against Climate Change Is A Collective Effort ~ Deputy Energy Minister

As part of the one day working visit of the Deputy Energy Minister to the western north region, a forum has been organized to welcome the views of the people concerning energy issues.

Deputy Energy Minister who double as Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre South in the Ashanti region, Hon. William Owuraku Aidoo, addressing the people said, the fuel we use in our vehicles contains carbon dioxide which when remained in the atmosphere can change the climate.

In an interview with Nattybongo liberty fm, he added that, a research has reviewed that, most of changes that have been occurring nowadays are due to the fumes from the vehicles we use.

He hinted that, this is the time for us to reduce the rate of using too much fuel in doing things.

He furthered that, they gathered every view of the people to be sent to the cabinet in decision making to suit the people.

Mr. Felix Ackah, the western north presidential staffer who double as regional communication director for NPP on behalf of the Western North Regional Minister also lamented that, now that the people have known that the too much using of fuel cause climate change, the people will do their best to reduce the fuel usage.

He again said, the people will be planting more trees to achieve the zero-net carbon omission to help to solve the problem of climate change.
