Galamsey Activity Claim One Life,leave Two Injured.
The galamsey activity has claimed one life and leave two others injured as galamsey pit caved at Yaapesaa,a mining community in the Bosome-Freho district of the Ashanti region.
According to the report, Yaapesaa is a mining community where galamsey activities are highly rampant and the victims went to the site to find some money for their lives.
Again, the report indicated that,Labista who is twenty-nine(29) years of age,Paa Kwasi thirty-two(32) years old and Keebi who is also(33) years old went into the down face of the pit to find some gold.
The report continued that, they entered the down surface,in their period of working they made blasting using dianamite to blast the rock and they couldn’t escape from where they blasted the rock.
Finally, they got involved in the blasting and one Labista who is twenty-nine(29) years died and the two (2) others who are Keebi, thirty-three(33) and Paa Kwasi who is also thirty-two (32) years got injured and admitted to the Konfo Anokye Teaching hospital for treatment and the deceased is at Kootwea mortuary.
