Scores of drivers in Assin Fosu today hit the street with a massive demonstration to vent their spleens against the managers of Assin Fosu Rawlings park (car station), that is GPRTU, PROTOA and the Assin Fosu municipal Assembly over what they described as a poor working environment which is negatively affecting their operations.

The disgruntled drivers who were clad in red armband, attire and singing war songs said that passengers would have to remove their sandals and roll their trousers immediately they get to the station before they board a car due potholes that have turned to pools at the Fosu main station.

Notwithstanding deplorable roads infrastructure that had rendered them regular visits to the mechanic’s shops.

“We are no longer going to pay road tolls and tickets to the Municipal Assembly and GPRTU, we don’t know what they use the taxes for, we won’t pay again. This is very shameful to the Assin Fosu municipality, passengers don’t deserve this. No, we won’t pay.

According to them, they will hit the street again if the authorities fail to heed their pleas.
