Blame NDC For the Delay on Daboya-Busunu Road

The Savanah Regional Minister Muazu Saeed Jibril is threatening to terminate a road contract, awarded to brother of Former President Mahama, Edward Mahama, if he fails to return to site with immediate effect.

According to the minister, payment of the continuation of the project has been made and expect contractors to be on site but still, no show. Leaving the road to go bad.

The 25 kilometer Daboya Busunu road project in the North Gonja District of the Savana region was awarded to Edward Mahama, a brother to the former president has stalled since 2017.

Deputy Communications officer of the NDC in the region R.A Jalil accused government of abandoning several projects initiated by the NDC administration, citing the Daboya-Busunu road to back his claim.

He was addressing NPP supporters at the Savannah Regional Delegate conference held in Daboya today.

But in a quick response, the Savannah Regional Minister Saeed Jabril speaking at the same event rejected the claim. In his view said, the delay implored by brother to the former President is only an attempt to score political points.

Therefore, he has no option than to terminate the contract as he can’t sit down for his people to go through the stress in accessing the roads.
