Supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP Youth Wing) in the Afigya Kwabre South District in the Ashanti region have vowed to resist the “disingenuous plot” by local party members to hound the District Chief Executive (DCE), out of office.
They expressed confidence in Hon Christian Adu Poku for his tremendous contributions to the development of the district.
The party supporters in the Afigya Kwabre South District however are calling for reappointment of APC Adwumawura as the DCE.
According to the group, a lot of developmental projects have been acheived and initiated by the DCE however his reappointment would see to the completion of the already started projects.
The call comes on the heels of a press conference organized by some self acclaimed party faithfuls within the district, alleging their DCE is incompetent and doesn’t deserve to lead the district again.
In a counter press conference organised to rubbish the claims of these self-centre supporters, the leader and spokeperson of the youth wing, Mr David Twumasi made it clear that, their DCE is very Competent, proactive and above all committed to development.
“We have witnessed massive developmental projects since our DCE was appointed as the DCE in this district in the two and half years as Dce”, He stressed.
A section of the supporters disclosed that those people who are saying a whole lot of rubbish are doing that for their selfish gains.
They stated that it is time they need to rubbish rumours and false allegations and make sure the president reconsiders their able DCE’s reappointment for improvement and progress of the people and the District.
