“Do Your Best To Reform Prisoners” ~ MP Charges Prison Officers

The Member of Parliament for Dormaa East Honourable Paul Apreku Twum-Barimah has encouraged prison officers to wholeheartedly do their best to reform people who have being incarcerated at their care.

He therefore expressed worry about the living conditions of Ghanaian Prisoners.

The MP who serves on Parliament Poverty Reduction Strategy Committee made this known after he presented chairs and fans to the Sunyani Central Female Prisons. He further added Three Thousand Ghana cedis (3000) to the female inmates to refresh during the Christmas.

The 2iC Superintendent Diana Koranteng expressed gratitude to the Dormaa East member of Parliament for his commitment towards the female inmates.

Speaking to Spacefm’s Nana Asempa Asa, she said the plastic chairs and fans were major challenge hindering the reformation of female inmates.
