Trinity Hospital CEO Leads Ksi Rotary Club To Provide and Unveil Microflush toilet, Mechanized Boreholes For Tafo and Pankrono Residents, Schools.

The Rotary Club in Kumasi has donated 3 mechanized borehole water system to the people of Tafo and Pankrono in the Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipality of the Ashanti region.

The projects which were commissioned on February 17, 2022 also unveiled a 20 seater microflush toilet facilities for Tafo Methodist cluster of schools.

The CEO of Trinity Hospital who also the immediate past president for Rotary Club in Kumasi urged the beneficiaries to utilize the facility for their own benefit.

He said that the Rotary as part of their social responsibilities is poised to do more for the Municipality if proper maintenance culture is ensured by the utilizers. “We will do more just to help and transform human lives,” the medical doctor stated.

Handing over the facilities, Dr Emmanuel Obeng said, the facilities will serve about 15 thousand people including school children with good health and good life.

The Otumfour Benkumhene and also the Paramount Chief of Tafo Traditional area, Nana Agyen Frimpong Ababio Okogyeadwa has said that anyone in the country who causes destruction of water bodies mars his or her own life.

According to the chief, water as it is life and contributes about 70 per cent of human activities was among the three materials God used to form human beings.

“If you Pollute Water, You wreck Your Own Life” the Otumfour Benkum Hene stated.

Among the beneficiaries were, Tafo Ahenebronum residents, Pankrono Dome residents, Atafoa residents and Tafo Methodist cluster of schools.

Nana Kwadwo Arhin II, the chief of Atafoa traditional area expressed excitement over the project.

He thanked Dr. Emmanuel Obeng and Rotary Club for the great project and charged the beneficiaries to cultivate a maintenance culture.

Mad. Dorothy Asante spoke on behalf of the Methodist cluster of schools, she was much grateful of the gesture.

According to her the timely intervention by the NGO for the microflush toilet project was just a blessing.

The Kumasi Rotary Club as part of their educational program is supporting Sawua with $120k educational projects to access quality education in the Sawua community in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti region will soon be over.

Similar project has been commissioned for people at Hiamankyene a small community near Bepoase in the Sekyere South District of Ashanti region.

In attendance were, the acting constituency chairperson of the new patriotic party in old Tafo-Pankrono, Hon Nana Afia Konadu, Assembly members, Npp constituency executives, executives from watsan committee.
