The president of the NABCO trainees association of Ghana (NABTAG), Mr. Dennis Opoku Katakyie has bemoaned the government’s inability to pay the 10 months’ allowances due to them on time.
Speaking in an interview with Mr. Speaker on the Kessben Maakye program monitored by Kwaku Mensah Abrampa, Mr. Dennis Opoku Katakyie indicated that it is unfortunate for government to engage them to work for over 10 months without paying them their stipends due them.
He explained that after the extension of their 3years contract with the government which ended last September, they have worked for over 10 months with only one month of their allowances paid indicating that they appreciate the effort of the government for giving them employment opportunities but they are not impressed with how issues relating to their allowances are being handled with the payment of only 1 month out of 10 months unpaid allowances.
He finally pleaded with the government to pay them the remaining 9months’ allowances at the end of this month October.
