The General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, has been granted bail by the Accra Hig Court.
Two days ago, a Circuit Court in Accra denied Owusu Bempah and four of his junior pastors bail to the surprise of many Ghanaians.
Rev Owusu Bempah is seen as the spiritual father of the President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
They have been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, the threat of death, and assault of office public officers.
They were then remanded in police custody.
The Judge at the Circuit Court, Afia Owusuaa Appiah, said this will allow the police more time to carry out further investigation.
However, in a sudden turn of events on Wednesday, the Accra High Court has granted them bail to the tune of GHS200,000.
This was after the court upheld an appeal by his lawyer, Gary Nimako Marfo, against a decision of the Circuit Court not to grant him bail.
Rev Owusu Bempah and his pastors are facing the law for threatening to kill the self-acclaimed evangelist, Patricia Oduro Koranteng, aka Nana Agradaa.
