Post-Elections 2024 A/R: Zongo Vote Campaigners commends Dr. Bawumia for conceding defeat, assures him their continue solidarity

The Zongo Vote Campaigners a voluntary group in the New Patriotic Party located in the Asawase constituency of the Ashanti region wishes to acknowledge and commend Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia the presidential candidate for the NPP in the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections for conceding defeat to Mr. John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress NCC by accepting the presidential results in good faith.

In a press statement read by the Chairperson of the group Imam Alhassan Salifu and supported by the secretary Alhaji Abdul Mumin Castro during a press confab at the Kumasi Central Mosque conference hall on Thursday, the group said Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia have not only demonstrated a sense of Patriotism over individualism but has also showcase humility, maturity and Civility. This according to them indeedais a dignifying act worthy of emulation in the interest of democratic consolidation.

They urge the party top leadership to as a matter of urgency hold a stocktaking exercise by evaluating and identifying the root causes of the massive voter apathy especially in our strongholds and make appropriate recommendations.

NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY, ZONGO VOTE CAMPAIGNERS. 12TH DECEMBER, 2024.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press.

1. I warmly welcome you all to this press conference organise by NPP Zango
Vote Campaigners in Kumasi.

2. The Purpose of this press conference is to declare our support, confidence and
loyalty to H. E Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and Flag bearer of the great NPP in the just ended 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

3. Zango Vote Campaigners wishes to acknowledge and commend Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia for conceding defeat to Mr John Mahama by accepting the presidential results in good faith. You have demonstrated a sense of Patriotism over individualism. It also showcase your humility, maturity and Civility. This is indeed a dignifying act worthy of emulation in the interest of democratic consolidation.

4. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press, indeed based on the figures of the final
results declared by the Chairperson of the EC, the NDC did not perform better
than the NPP but it’s our own party people that disappointed us.

5. Ladies and Gentlemen, although we don’t want to indulge in blame games, we want to urge the party top leadership to as a matter of urgency hold a stocktaking exercise by evaluating and identifying the root causes of the massive voter apathy especially in our strongholds and make appropriate recommendations.

6. The Zango Vote Campaigners would like to strongly assured you Dr Bawumia of our continue solidarity and we remain extremely optimistic of your vision and policies. We also have faith and trust in Allah and we are convinced that all things work together for the good of those who believe in God and has patient even in adversity.

7. Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press finally we wish to extend our profound
appreciation and gratitude to our Patron – Hajia Samira Bawumia the second
lady of the Republic of Ghana and her team for their resilience and hard work.
We encOurage her to continue to give out her best to her husband who we hope
will lead NPP again in 2028 and become the first Muslim president inshaallah.

8. Our special appreciation also goes to our chairman Imam Alhassan Salifu for
his sacrifices in funding all the campaign activities of this group across all the
Zangos in Ashanti region.

9. Zango Vote Campaigners cannot forget all it’s executives and the entire
members for their tireless cfforts and cooperation.

10. May Allah continue to bless, protect and guide H. E Dr Alhaji Mahamac
Bawumia and preserve him for us for 2028. It is Still Possible!!! Inshaallah.
