Men Impregnate Our Female Members, denied and abandon them ~ PWDs Chairman Worried

The Eastern Regional Chairman for the Federation of Persons with Disabilities, Mr. Boateng has expressed his displeasure and deep worry over some character of some able and well to do men in the country which ends up affecting their female members in the society.

Mr. Boateng disclosed that, some men always take advantage of their female members, get them pregnant and later abandon them.

Speaking to Michael Akrofi peace fm news Reporter, he complained that most men have refused to take responsibility of their female members and that makes it difficult for them to take care of the children.

Mr. Sarpong Boateng narrated “It is unfortunate for some of our members to go through such abuse and rejection due to their disabilities.

He made the disclosure at the sideline of some donations made by the New Juaben North Municipal Assembly for PWD members in the municipality.

He, therefore advised beneficiary Members to make good use of the donations to help deal with the challenge of depending on others for survival.

Again appealed to the Government through DOVSU to help treat domestic issues of PWDs with the Needed attention to help them get solutions to their plights.

Finally added that, members again also face problems with renting rooms to stay, accessibility to work and government buildings and that remains a challenge for him and his members since most Landlords denied them accommodation or rental apartments to rent.
