Justice and Security: Chief Anokye Writes To Commend President on The Commissioning Of Tafo Court Complex

HE Akuffo-Addo’s government through the Local Government Minister, Hajia Alima Mahama, presented a Legislative Instrument (LI) to Parliament, for the creation of 38 new districts and municipal assemblies in November, 2017.

The creation of the new assemblies was to strengthen government’s resolve to spread development across the country through local governance.

One of the new assemblies to be created after the passage of the LI by Parliament, included Old Tafo, carved out from the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

Fast forward, the assemblies were created and in 2018, Old Tafo Municipal Assembly came into fruition. This development has brought along multiple infrastructure growth in addition to the social and economic progress that residents continue to benefit.

One of the numerous infrastructural benefits accrued from the creation of the Old Tafo Municipal Assembly which cannot be overlooked is the construction of an ultra modern Circuit Court Complex.

It would be recalled how when President Akufo-Addo’s government took notice of the inadequate numbers of courts in various parts of the country.

Through the Administrator of the District Assembly Common Fund, he constructed 100 new courts and bungalows for Judges in all the 16 regions of the country.

True to the words of HE Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo, yesterday, the Old Tafo Municipal Circuit Court Complex was successfully commissioned in a colourful event.
This move by President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government will go a long way to improve justice delivery in our municipality and the country at large.

Thankfully, today the good people of Old Tafo Municipality will not need to travel long distances to gain access to courts.
This refreshing to the good people of our municipality.

Our former MP, Hon. Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei deserves a special mention in his role in all these developments. We are eternally grateful to him.

Commendations to Nananom, our hardworking MCE, Hon. Lord Innusah Lansah, Constituency Executives ably led by Chairman Stephen Kwadwo Otchere Gyimah and 1st Vice Nana Afia Konadu Yiadom, Hon. Vincent Assafuah, MP, Party faithfuls, our former MCE, everyone who in anyway contributed to this development and more especially to HE Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo for bringing justice delivery to the doorsteps of the people of Old Tafo Municipality.

The good people of Old Tafo, Pankrono, Adabraka, Nhyiaeso and Estate will forever be grateful to the New Patriotic Party.
