Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac has named his squad for the two crucial games in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Ethiopia and Hugo Broos led South Africa.
Ghana is currently in second place in Group G with nine points after four games.
South Africa moved to the top of the group when they defeated the Black Stars 1-0 at the First National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg on 6th September 2021. Bongokuhle Hlongwane scored the goal for Bafana Bafana in the 83rd minute.
After this game, Black Stars coach CK Akonnor was fired and Serbian trainer Rajevac who is no stranger to the job was appointed to steady the ship.
Since Rajevac’s appointment, Ghana has beaten Zimbabwe 3-1 at the Cape Coast Stadium and won 1-0 against Zimbabwe in Harare.
The battle for the top spot is now between Ghana and South Africa. Ghana will play Ethiopia before clashing with current leaders South Africa.
The Black Stars need victories in the games against South Africa and Ethiopia to push the team to the top.
