The Vice President’s campaign is not going well and has adopted a new strategy that will keep it afloat in the upcoming super delegates election to select five (5) out of the ten(10) presidential aspirants for the November 4,2023, main elections.
News gathered from the inside sources of the Veep’s campaign team and also from majority of the constituency chairmen across the country is that the Vice President and his team having visited three of the regions, and having realised that Mr. Kyerematen is miles ahead of him, is desirous of adopting a communist inferior tactics to remain relevant in the campaign.
The team has therefore allegedly devised the strategy of buying votes of the Constituency chairmen across the country for Ghc200,000 plus Toyota Yaris which is an upgrade of their original budget of paying constituency chairmen Ghc30,000 plus a motorbike.
According to our inside sources within the camp of the veep as well as majority of constituency chairmen who spoke to me on conditions of anonymity, the Vice President is asking the chairmen to give their votes to a proxy that will be nominated by their team in exchange of the above rewards. By giving their votes to their trusted proxies,the veep’s camp would be assured of the votes of these chairmen.
They have also asked the chairmen who would accept this offer to fain sickness or tell their constituents that they will be traveling and so will ask a proxy to vote for them.
In the Ashanti region,John Kumah is the one who has been given the task of buying the votes of these chairmen.
Chairmen who called and were so furious were of the opinion that the Veeps team did not respect for them to think that money is the solution to all problems.
They aver that the Npp at this stage in his history needs a leader who has character,competence and credibility to convince Ghanaians to vote for the party again.
The campaign of the Vice President has suffered major setbacks as Npp delegates generally are of the view that it lacks compelling message to convince them.
The delegates are particularly disappointed in the fact that the Vice President’s message includes the fact that we should vote for him because he is from the north, Muslim and was also in the witness box.
