A Leading Member and a Patron of the Ruling New Patriotic Party NPP Hajia Fati Amadu popularly known as “Hajia Fati Allegation” has on Saturday donated items valued at GH40,000 cedis to the Awutu Bawjiase Country – Side Orphanage home in the Awutu Senya west District of Central Region.
The items were made up of bags of rice, bags of maize, bags of sugar, 100 tubers of yam, gallons of cooking oil, bottle water, bicycles. Covid 19 items were not left out where gallons of liquid soap, over 1000 nose masks, boxes of hand sanitizer and tissues were presented to the Country – Side Orphans to prevent themselves from contracting the deadly virus.
Presenting the items at her Birthday celebrations, Hajia Fati said taking care of orphans was a collective responsibility of everybody and urged the people not to shirk their responsibilities by leaving the children to their fate.
She has appealed to proprietors of orphanages not to turn them into commercial entities to make profit, but rather focus on how to take good care of the inmates to grow up to be responsible adults.
She called on those, who intended adopting the orphans to go through the necessary procedures in order not to violate any human rights.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the Awutu Bawjiase Orphanage home, Madam Ema Boafo Yeboah who received the items , commended the Hajia Fati Amadu for the gesture, adding that, it would go a long way to support the authorities to solve some of the problems of the Orphanage home.
Calling on stakeholders, corporate bodies, philanthropists and other institutions to emulate similar benevolency, Madam Ema Boafo Yeboah assured the donor to ensure safety and well-being of the mother-fatherless children.
