Atwima Mponua District intensified Security Operations and arrested 9 People, burnt chanfan machines and ceased items on Mpasatia-Abompe river offin saga
A combined security apparatus made up of Nyinahin District Police& Immigration, National Security Team and Atwima Mponua District Taskforce spearheaded by DCE Hon Isaac Kofi Marfo have made massive operations at Mpasatia- Abompe river offin mining saga purported 1000 Togolese doing illegal mining without authorities consent and arrested nine (9) out of ten(10) and in police custody at Nyinahin for investigations and court actions.
They are:
1. Bandim Andrews 42 yrs
2. Ayettey Anaglo 38 yrs
3. Winfred Nyatorwunu 33 yrs
4. Doga Etse 31 yrs
5. Kwadwo Bosompem 30 yrs
6. Winner Soyi 25 yrs
7. Collins True 24 yrs
8. Amanuve Kpaleba 22 yrs
9. Noah Baba 22 yrs were arrested at Abompe and Mpasatia respectively.
The operations which started early Sunday 7am ended 6pm and on the river also burnt into ashes six 6 changfan machines, removed parts of the chanfan machines, impounded several mining equipment worth billions of cedis, burnt their temporal structures and retrieved several phones and many gadgets to boost the police investigations.
Meanwhile, hello fm reporter, Nana Akwasi Kyere spoke with Hon Isaac Kofi Marfo after the Operations who was grateful to God and his team for the successful swoop.
He said that the perpetrators were ready to provide information to the police the real owners and authorities consent.
