The Ashanti Regional Directorate of Ghana Health Services upon their requirements to uplift every health facility to a high status has together with the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly elevated Mamponteng Health Center to a Poly-Clinic a facility placed higher than the existing.
This came as a result effective implementation of policies and programmes by Kwabre East Municipal Assembly when it also cuts a ribbon for the commissioning of ultra modern *30 bed capacity male and female ward at a cost of GHC 336,176,90* after seeing the increasing number of patients and outstanding performance of the facility.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony at Mamponteng in the Ashanti Region on Friday the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu cautioned the health workers to refrain from selling drugs to patients while Insurance still covers those drugs.
Hon Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu briefing the gathering about the plans the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has for the Municipality, he touched on the government’s flagship programs.
The Chief Executive assured that there is hope in the early year of 2019 that Ambulance Service Unit would be constructed at Mamponteng to absorb all emergency issues from Mamponteng to any part of the Country.
Meanwhile the Medical Director of the newly inaugurated Poly-Clinic Dr. Precious Queenly in a welcoming address expressed a heartfelt to the government and the MCE saying the 30 capacity bed ward will go a long way to admit more patients.
She called on organization and other stakeholders to emulate with other petty needs and also assured them to do everything possible to ensure sanity and quality service delivery.
