The District Chief Executive of Afigya Kwabre South, Hon. Dr. Christian Adu-Poku and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Afigya Kwabre South, Hon. Damata Ama Appianimaa Salam has paid a visit to the family of the late Maame Akua Donkor.
Commiserating with the family, Hon. Christian Adu-Poku shared words of encouragement and indicated the support and motherly counsel he’s received from late Maame Akua Donkor ever since he received appointment as DCE.
He said, “Maame Akua Donkor was one of us. She served this district very well as an Assembly Member and paid her due to the growth and development of Kwabre”. He added, “she paid me regular visits in my office anytime she was in the district and I will miss that personal relationship I had with her as a son would miss his mother”. He urged the family to keep him informed of the funeral arrangements.
On her side, Hon. Damata Ama Appianimaa Salam, Parliamentary Candidate assured the family of the party’s support in these moments of sorrow. She sympathized with the family and called on them to keep their faith in God in these troubling times.
In the company of Hon. DCE and the NPP PC were Mr. Peter Opoku, Afigya Kwabre District Finance Officer; Mr. George Best, NPP Afigya Kwabre South Constituency Organizer; Alhaji Seidu Shaibu, NPP Nasara Coordinator Afigya Kwabre South; Mr. Joe Osei, Constituency Research and Elections Officer; Mr. S.K. Boah, Constituency Secretary and some staff of the Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly.
Maame Akua Donkor hails from Ejuratia in the Afigya Kwabre South District. She served Afigya Kwabre well as a former Assembly Member of the Ejuratia electoral area. Until her demise, Maame Akua Donkor was the founder and presidential flagbearer of Ghana Freedom Party, GFP, and a popular Ghanaian politician and personality.
