GES lauds Ahafo teachers for emerging first on Ghana’s first ever National Standardization Test
The Ghana Education Service has commended teachers in Basic Schools in the Ahafo region for their contribution towards quality basic education in the region.
The Ahafo Region became first among the sixteen regions in Ghana on the first ever National Standardization Test (NTS).
The results release by National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) over the weekend shows that almost 390,000 Class Four (P4) from 14,883 public schools participated, showed that Ahafo Region emerges first with 67% in Mathematics and 58% in English followed by Bono East, Bono as the strongest base for lower primary education.
The Ahafo Regional Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service, Mr. Yaw Frimpong in interview with Success FM’s Atiewin Mohammed said hard work from District Directors, Circuit Supervisors and Teachers contributed to success of the region.
In related development, the Ahafo Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party NPP, Aseidu Alfed alias Nana Adu also said the teachers must be motivated for their hard work and therefore appeal to Education Oversight Committee in various district to support the teachers to maintain this standard in making the Ahafo region education hub in Ghana.
