“Tell NPP Nana B To Remember, Expedite His Promised 30-bed Children’s Ward Project ~ Tafohene as Old Tafo NPP Executives Paid Courtesy Call On Him.

Otumfour Bekumhene who is also the Chief of Tafo traditional area in the Old Tafo-Pankrono Municipality of the Ashanti region, Nana Agyen Frimpong Ababio Okogyeadwa is reminding the National Organizer of the New Patroitic Party NPP, Mr Henry Nana Boakye aka Nana B to fast-track the completion of the promise he made to Tafoman to construct children’s ward at Tafo government hospital during his 40th birthday anniversary.

Receiving a delegation from the NPP Executives in the Old Tafo-Pankrono Constituency on Tuesday, Nana Agyen Frimpong Ababio Okogyeadwa said over a year on the project has been abandoned and the site has turned into bush and snakes habitats and he therefore calling through the Npp Executives to remind Nana B to expedite as promised.

The former Board Chairman of the National Food Buffer Stock Company NAFCO, subsequently cut a sod for a construction of a 30-bed children’s ward at Tafo General Hospital to mark his 40th birthday celebration in July 2021 and assured the people to complete the project as soon as possible.

The project, dubbed: ‘Nana B @40’ was to include an OPD clinic which was expected to be completed within 18 months or less of commencement, however it is seen, believed that the project has been halted after flow level of concrete.

When completed, the project will have a pediatric OPD with a waiting area, two consulting rooms and a treatment room at the right-wing of the hospital.

He also complained that the unfavourable nature of roads at the area is not motivating in the sense that the roads construction around Ahenbronum and some other part are not up to standard especially the Untarred areas pose environmental hazards to the people staying around due to the excessive dust and therefore urged the government to see it completion.

Nana Tafohene blessed the new Executives and advised them to unite the entire NPP fraternity in the Constituency, urged them to eschew teams and camps to avert possible apathy and so as to achieve their target as a political party.

The Old Tafo New Patroitic Party Executives’ delegation to the Tafo Chief’s Palace were comprised with the past and current party executives including the current constituency chairman Stephen Okyere Gyimah, First Vice Chairlady Hon. Nana Afia Konadu-Yiadom (Iron Lady), the former Chairman Mr Moses K. Donkor (Veteran Politician) and the entire Executives.

The delegation was led by Mr Moses K. Donkor who according to customs officially introduced the current Executives to Tafo Chief and Elders after the party elected their new officers on Friday 29th April, 2022.

At the Palace, the Constituency Chairman Stephen Okyere Gyimah alias Rambo explained the delayed of the visit to Nananom as due to the elections of the NPP Regional and National Officers.

Soliciting prayers and support from the chiefs for their party, the Tafo Mugabe disclosed that, the NPP is the only government that has brought development to Tafo-Pankrono since Ghana’s democracy and therefore needs more years to complete all ongoing projects and to see the municipality totally transformed.

Chairman Rambo noted that, the Tafo-Pankrono-Adabraka Constituency which is centered within Kumasi needs fast development, therefore assured the Traditional Ruler and the People that, NPP led Akufo-Addo government is committed to making sure every roads and high streets in the Municipality is tarred and is also making everything possible to clamp down recent economic hardship on Ghanaians due to the Russia-Ukraine war and global covid-19 pandemic.
