An aide to the Bono Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party, Kwesi Botchey has called on delegates of his party to retain Mr. John Boadu as General Secretary ahead of their impending primaries.
Substituting the current chief scribe for the NPP for another candidate according to Abronye’s aide would amount to changing an experienced senior star footballer for an inexperienced under-17 player.
“How can change John Boadu for an under 17 player?” he rhetorically asked on Wontumi TV noting that the NPP, needs serious people to steer the affairs of the party.
He threw a light shade at Mr. Justin Kodua Frimpong also known as ‘Okumkom’ pointing out that if Mr. John Boadu is a fully-fledged pilot, then the former is just a geography student at the secondary school level.
Kwesi Botchey also roped in the experience of Mr. John Boadu by referring to the various offices he has held as a party stalwart.

“This election isn’t like an SRC election…John Boadu has served at the party office for 22 years. He was a financial officer, National Youth Organizer, deputy Communication Director, National Organizer, and General Secretary”, he said.
He, therefore, wondered how ‘Okumkom’ can help the NPP when they encounter turbulence.
