Multiple sale of Lands, evasion of Property rates et al to be a thing of the past – Executive Secretary of Lands Commission reveals

Surveyor James Ekow Kobinnah Dadson, Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission of Ghana has revealed that Government is on course to digitize all activities or documentations of lands and properties in the country.

According to him, this new innovation will stop multiple sales of lands which has brought about the activities of land guards, evasion of property rate payments and other troubles that come with acquisition of lands or properties and will also increase revenue mobilization to foster more development.

Surveyor James E. K. Dadson made this disclosure in an interview with Peace News correspondent Nana Kwadwo Adu of Asta Fm during the official inauguration of the Bono East regional office of the Lands Commission in Techiman.

Hon. Benito Owusu Bio, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources also the MP for Atwima-Nwabiagya constituency in the Ashanti Region who officially opened the Bono East Regional Office of the Lands Commission for commencement of their operations charged the Staff to keep a very strong collaboration with Nananom in order to succeed in discharging their mandate.

Finally, Mr. George Padmore Mensah the Bono East Regional Chief Coordinating Director who represented the Regional Minister Hon. Kwasi Adu Gyan was excited an office in the region will ease their burden of traveling to Sunyani to access the services of Lands Commission and called on Government to expedite action on building a permanent office for the Lands Commission.
