Independence Day: Bosomtwe District Celebrates In Grandstyle, DCE Calls On Ghanaians To Rise Upp And Build Ghana Together.

Let us rise up and build Ghana together – Bosomtwe DCE appeals

The District Chief Executive DCE for Bosomtwe District Assembly of the Ashanti Region, Hon. Lawyer Joseph Kwasi Asuming Esq. has called on Ghanaians especially those residing and operating businesses within the Bosomtwe district to collaborate with the government to accelerate the socio-economic development of the country.

He said building the nation required the contribution and support of everyone at all times and therefore urged Ghanaians to have faith and rally behind the government to build a better Ghana for all citizenry.

According to the former GRA Boss at Kumasi Asokwa branch, Ghanaians must honour their tax obligations to the state to help boost national progress as development is hindered
when taxpayers failed to pay their taxes as stipulated in law.

The Esq. said when citizens failed to pay their taxes, development plans by the government in areas such as education, transport, health, water, sanitation, security and energy, for example, would not be realised.

Lawyer Joseph Kwasi Asuming made the remarks when he delivered the keynote address at a parade held at the District capital, Kuntenase to mark the 65th Independence anniversary celebrations.

This year’s celebration was on the theme: “Working together, bouncing back better”.

Assuring the people about the Assembly readiness to making everything possible to improve live the natives, Hon Joseph Asuming disclosed that the delayed in the dualization road construction from Sewua Junction to Lakeside was due to existence of the Covid-19.

The Chief executive said looking at how the COVID-19 pandemic had wreaked havoc on the global economy, including Ghana’s economy, there would be the need for a collective effort by Ghanaians to enable the economy to bounce back stronger.

Hon Lawyer Joseph Asuming charged the youth to remain disciplined and work hard and persevere irrespective of the obstacles that might impede their efforts to succeed.
