Kingsley Nyarko, MP, Kwadaso, replies Okudzeto Ablakwa on his exemptions write-up

Stop the hypocrisy my friend

Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, I think Ghanaians are fed up with your kind of politics which is saddled with propaganda to seek political power and nothing else.

Let me tell you that Ghanaians are very discerning and are aware of your age-long tricks and deceptions. Ghanaians remember your days with the committee for joint action (CJA)—a tool you used to attain political power in 2008, only to disappoint.

We remember the lies, misinformation, populism and propaganda then, and that’s what you’re doing now. Let me tell you, we shall expose you, and your machinations to the citizenry, who are not interested in your vile, political-power-seeking propaganda, but rather interested in the improvement of their well-being, and trust the capability of the NPP under the able leadership of Prez Akufo-Addo to deliver.

Mr. Ablakwa, on the exemptions you’re talking about, you know exemptions have been with us since Adam. You’re also aware that, there’s an exemption bill before parliament and it’s also captured in the 2022 budget.

This is the first time a government is seeking to have a bill to regulate exemptions to companies. I was expecting you, if not commending the government, to at least inform the good people of the country about the bill.

You sat in parliament on Thursday, 10th February, 2022, when the exemptions bill 2021, was withdrawn and relaid after amendments to it. It’s now exemptions bill 2022. What dishonesty is this, my good friend?

I think, Members of Parliament owe it a duty to be honest, sincere and candid to the people at all material times.

Hon Ablakwa, please, let truth and honesty guide and guard you in your politics. The populism and propaganda, will give you a temporal popularity, but will crush you eventually. A small advice from your big brother. God bless Ghana!!!
