NPP Races: Veep caught peaking??

The Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for President 2024 campaign appears to be unrelenting in their efforts at abusing incumbency and using the high office to advance the agenda of the Vice President becoming the standard-bearer of the party come 2024 general elections.

Despite a directive by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party banning all potential flagbearer aspirants from engaging in any form of campaigning, the Vice President and his team continue to flout the directive with impunity.

Audio evidence of meetings the campaign team of the Vice President, led by Mr. Fred Oware, his campaign coordinator, held in some constituencies in the Ashanti Region has revealed how the Vice President is flouting the party’s directives ahead of the presidential race.

At the said meetings, Mr. Fred Oware could be heard desperately pleading with the party executives at the Constituency levels to do the bidding of the Vice President.

On Thursday, January 6, 2022, Mr. Fred Oware sought permission from the Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako otherwise known as Chairman Wontumi to engage with the officers in the following Constituencies:

1. Asante Akyem South -Juaso

2. Asante Akyem North – Agogo

3. Asante Akyem Central- Konongo

Venue – @ 555

After the following Constituencies, they proceeded to:

1. Sekyere Afram Plains -Drobonso

2. Kumawu

3. Juaben @ party Office

4. Ejisu

5. Ejurasekyeredumasi

6. Mampong

7. Nsuta, Kwamang, Beposo

8. Afigya Sekyere East -Agona (was absent)

On Friday, January 7, 2022 they met Eleven (11) Constituencies

namely:

Amansi and Adansi Constituencies :

1. Bosomtwe

2. Manso Nkwanta

3. Manso Adubia

4. Odotobiri

5. Bekwai

6. Adansi Asokwa

7. New Edubiase

8. Obuasi East

9. Obuasi West

10. Adansi Akrofuom

11. Fomena

The agenda of the meeting was that during the Christmas festivities the campaign team did not meet them for their Christmas packages and now, this is the time.

After the lengthy interaction with the party faithful, the team led by Mr. Fred Oware on behalf of Dr. Bawumia allegedly gave Ghc 200 each to the coordinators from the various electoral areas and also use the opportunity to thank them for working for the Vice President

Apparently, they also use the platform to encourage them to work assiduously on Bawumia’s bid to break the 8 and for the party.
