The Member of Parliament for Jaman North constituency, *Hon Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick* has stated that, construction of roads does not directly depend on members of Parliament and that, members of Parliament are to lobby for central government support in the construction of major roads in the country.
Hon Ahenkwaa Yaw Frederick speaking to the media stated that, there are different set of projects in the country with different sources of funding hence members of Parliament should not credit themselves with projects which were not executed with their funds.
He stressed that, members of Parliament can only take credit for a work done by central government as a result of their good lobbying skills.
He added that, accumulation of all funds received by members of Parliament can not construct a kilometer of road therefore, citizens should not hold MPs accountable for roads construction since their capacity does not construct roads but Rather lobby for the roads to be constructed by central government.
