Three suspected armed robbers have been gunned down by personnel of the Ghana Police Service at the Shiashie Bus Stop in Accra off the N4 Highway.
According to reports reaching the news desk of GHPage.com, the armed men numbering six engaged in an attack in the area early this morning [Monday, August 9] and quickly fled the scene.
Subsequently, they reportedly went to sit at the Bus Stop off the Accra-Adenta bound section of the Highway near Kingdom FM, pretending to be waiting for a bus in order not to raise suspicion.
Some police personnel wearing mufti in an unmarked vehicle spotted the robbers and trailed them to their resting point in an attempt to arrest them.
According to our sources, the suspects engaged in a crossfire with the police upon sighting them from a distance resulting in the death of three of the robbers.
Two were however arrested with the whereabouts of one suspect yet unknown.
