Ebo Noah, a 33-year-old private security guard, has been remanded into police custody and ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination at a government facility.
The Adentan Circuit Court made this decision after Ebo Noah was brought before it, presided over by Her Honour Angela Attachie.
He is facing charges for publishing false news with intent to cause fear and panic, stemming from social media videos claiming the world would be destroyed by a flood on December 25, 2025, and that he was building an ark to save people.
The prosecution alleges Ebo Noah’s statements were made without lawful authority and intended to cause public fear and panic. He was arrested on December 31, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation, and has admitted to making and circulating the videos, but claims the “ark” belonged to a fisherman and his flood claims were false. The case has been adjourned to January 15, 2026.
