Stop Hiding Behind Taxes To Extort Monies From Ghanaians, Cpp National Youth Organizer Slams Government

The National Youth Organizer for the Convention Peoples Party who also double as the General Secretary for the Coalition of National Youth Organizers Comrade Osei Kofi Acquah has accused the Nana Akuffo Addo led government of Hiding behind taxes to rake monies from Ghanaians, which he believes is a form of extortion.

He wrote this on his Facebook wall.

Why are we paying Soo many taxes? For the first time the Ghanaian is paying a tax on a disease they don’t have (Covid Tax), paying for a Garbage they did not creat (Sanitation levy)

We are paying for a supposed Energy sector legacy debt we the citizens did not contract (Esla),

3.5% for Financial Sector Clean-up Recovery-levy
This means (We are paying for people’s inability to manage their own Banking Companies)

Luxury Vehicle Tax. ( People are being judged and being taxed because they are using efficient cars)

25/% Tax on value added products particularly things we buy from Super Markets. How is government supposed to encourage Industrialization when Manufactured products are being taxed this heavily?

How is their supposed One District One Factory supposed to succeed when consumers will be discouraged to patronize the value added products due to the huge taxes on them?

Health insurance Levy has increase, even though our hospitals still remain death wards.

As if all these are not enough, now they want to charge 45% on income Tax?

Should we remind them the minimum wage of the Ghanaian cannot purchase a common bread as we speak?

Apart from the article 71 holder, the civil servant Ghanaian’s Salary is nothing to write home about! How will we pay rent? How about the deliberated sky rocketed adjusted Utility bills like water and Electricity?

If the person is a family man or woman, how do they pay school fees etc?

So what happened to the promise to move the economy from Taxation to production!?

These heap of taxes are nothing but Government sponsored Extortion!

May God have mercy on the disobedient Ghanaian who has refused to Vote for the CPP to fulfill the prophecy of attaining economic Independence!
