Police Command Celebrates Memorial Day To Honour Fallen Officers

The Western North Regional Police Command has celebrated memorial day to remember policemen who died in line of duty within the region. The celebration was held at the Police Regional Office Sefwi wiawso.

Speaking at the remembrance day, the Western North Regional Police Commander, DCOP, Mr Martin Ayiih stated, that the Western North Police Records shows that the police has lost 2 most important personnels, on the 3th December 2019, General Sargeant Emmanuel Chukudoh who was escorting a bullion van was attacked and shot dead by armed robbers and General Constable Francis Osei Amankwah who was also shot dead on 16th March 2016, at Wassa juabo when he had closed from duty and was returning home.

DCOP Martin, said the solemn day was instituted by the Police Administration to be celebrated annually to honour their fallen heroes.

DCOP Martin Ayiih, lamented that the police service will forever remember them for their sterling qualities of honesty, integrity and hard work and also on behalf of the Inspector General of Police and the Police Administration wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the entire bereaved families.
