In a poignant message penned on Friday, April 25, Mahama signed the book of condolence at the Apostolic Nunciature in Accra, paying respects to the revered pontiff who passed away on Monday, April 21, at the age of 88.
Pope Francis, renowned for his humility, tireless advocacy for peace, social justice, and interfaith unity, left an indelible mark on the world. His burial is happening today April 26, at the Vatican, was preceded by a solemn mass held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra, attended by a government delegation led by Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, alongside religious leaders from various Christian denominations and a representative of the National Chief Imam.
