Kumasi Tafo: Wealth Creation and Social Development Training Centre Holds 17th Graduation Ceremony, Gov’t urged to depeen Technopreneurship education

Empowering the future of the youth Government, Ghanaians urged to deepen, embrace vocational and Technopreneurship education.

The current biggest challenge in Ghana and among developing countries is the lack of skills demanded by modern industries that has led to high youth unemployment and underemployment, hindering economic growth.

In order to empowering the future of the youth Ghanaians need to adopt, embrace vocational and Technopreneurship education.

Ing Joseph Anyan, the chief executive officer of Jometo construction LTD has charged the government and Ghanaian youth to prioritize technical education to produce graduates who are not only job-ready but also well-equipped human resource in the professional environments.

According to him global job market is undergoing a rapid transformation driven by technological advancements.

He said this when delivering a speech at the 17th graduation ceremony of wealth creation and social development training centre aka “Akoto Mma” at Tafo in the Old Tafo municipality of the Ashanti region.

The school board chairperson, Hon. Nana Afia Konadu Yiadom aka Iron Lady in a welcome address disclosed lack of funds to run the employable centre that has trained over thousand youth in Ghana.

She appealed to President John Dramani Mahama and his government to come to their aid to support the legacy of late former Old Tafo MP and monitoring and evaluation minister, Hon Anthony Akoto Osei.

The first vice chair lady of NPP in the Old Tafo constituency added and admonished the graduands to make good use of the skills and training acquired to benefit the nation and also eschew all forms of professional misconduct as they leave the training institute into practical and employable environment.

In attendance was the Suprintendent minister of old Tafo circuit of the Methodist church Ghana, Very Rev. Eric Kwame Boakye-Yiadom. In his message when ushering blessing for graduands entreated them to live God’s exemplary life by dedicating the life and business to christ Jesus.

This according to the man of God will go a long way to helping them make good returns whatever they lay their hands on.

Some of the graduands who were trained in fashion designing, catering, hairdressing and cosmetology spoke with great enthusiasm to utilise the ideas acquired.
