Just In Millions Of Properties Burnt Into Ashes At Garages (Zone 13)

Millions of properties were vehemently reduced to ashes at Garages (zone 13) in the Ashanti region in Friday dawn fireoutbreak.

The incident according to eyewitness started as a results of consistent power outage at the place.

In an interview with the press, some of the affected persons expressed their bitterness concerning the negligence behaviors of the personnel of the Ghana Fire Service.

“The fire started around 2:30 am, all efforts to reach to the fire service personnel to quench the heavy fire was proven futile, even after their arrival they were complaining of shortage of water. I think this nuisance behaviors of the personnel must be ceased as soon as possible”, they lamented.

The Zone 13 Chairman, Mr.Arhin appealed to the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon.Simon Osei Mensah as well as NADMO to come to the aid of the affected persons.

On his side the Vice President for the GNAG, Mr. Lukeman Nuhu Appiedu called on the government to construct fire station, health center and other social amenities for them.

“It’s very disheartening to see our young brothers and sisters going through this trauma because of lack of fire station and others. I want to take this opportunity to appeal to the government to construct fire station and other relevant social infrastructures for us” he added.
