Ghanaians Called to Prioritize & Preserve their cultural heritage for future generations ~ Aburihene

The Adontenhene of the Akuapem Traditional Area and Aburihene, Otobour Djan Kwasi II, has marked his 35th anniversary thanksgiving service of his installation, with a call on Ghanaians to prioritize & preserve their cultural heritage for future generations.

As part of the celebration, the Paramount Chief of Aburi donated GH¢ 35,000 to support social center project at Aburi

Addressing his well wishers, Chiefs & Elders and Family at the Aburi Presbyterian Church to mark the occasion, Otobour Djan Kwasi II thanked the almighty God for protecting the residents in the various communities within Akuapem Traditional Area and wished long life for each everyone in the area.

According to his people, he admitted that the journey has not been easy at all. But won’t give up and will push hard for the betterment of his people.

Additionally advised chiefs to value and respect each other and forge developments.

At the sideline of the Thanks giving service, The Akuapem Adonteng Hene also the Akuapem Aburi expressed Deep worry over the current state of the popular Aburi Botenical garden

Otobour spoke extensively on how he wants the government to develop Aburi Botanical Gardens and reiterated the need for the privatisation of the Aburi Botanical Gardens to invite investment to the tourist facility.

He said private investment could revitalise the Gardens and enhance its tourism potential to improve business in the area.

Otoobuor Kwasi said the Gardens had lost its value and pride in recent years due to neglect by the government, lack of maintenance, and bureaucracy in its management.

The MCE for Akuapem South Municipality, Hon. Frank Aidoo on the Assembly part Elougise Otobour for his great experience and good leadership skills he has desplayed for possible interventions.

He assured to continue having a good working relationship between the Palace and the Assembly.

Finally, three paramount chiefs Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III Okuapeman hene, Akwamu Hene Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III and Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III the New Juabeng Manhene shared their wonderful moments memories and experiences with Otobour Djan Kwasi and wished him well.
