Cocoa farmers laud Rainforest Alliance on its livelihood program.

Some cocoa farmers in Waiwso Municipal, Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, Akontombra, Bodi and Juaboso districts all in the Western North Region have lauded the Rainforest Alliance for its additional livelihood program which according to the farmers have given them extra income.

The farmers said they no longer depend only on cocoa to survive since snail rearing, bee keeping and piggery give them extra cash especially in January when there is no cocoa.

These farmers have therefore appealed to other cocoa farmers especially women to take advantage of the Rainforest Alliance additional livelihood projects in order to be economically viable in society.
