Chieftaincy Dispute Threatening Development, Give Fair Judgement Else.. ~ Awenare Residents

Some angry faction and residents of Akyem Awenare in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern region have lamented that their community is in a total dismay since economic activities have been suspended due to the existing chieftaincy dispute which was recently intensified.

Speaking during a press conference at Akyem Awenare where the angry residents were clad in red arm bands and dresses, the Asafoakye of Akyem Awenare, Mr. Kwaku Agyarko explained that the residents live in fear as students are not able to attend schools and farmers cannot also go to their farms , this he said has plunged the resident into deep starvation and among others.

Mr. Kwaku Agyarko further appealed to the Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, and the Regional House of Chiefs to ensure that fairness prevailed and the stool be given to the faction that deserves it in order to restore peace in the community.

The youth queen-mother of Awenare, Madam Susana Afrifa, revealed that even though the case is still pending at the Akyem Abuakwa Judicial Concil and expecting the final judgement on the 14th December, 2022 the Asene faction are still going round declaring themselves as winners of the case which is feuding confusion in the community.
