Bolgatanga: Leaders should Uphold virtues of Humility, Decency ~ Paramount Chief of Nangodi

The Paramount Chief of Nangodi Traditional area in the Nabdam district of Upper East Region, Na-Pariyoung Kosom Asaga Yelzoya II has called on people in leadership and high position to be humble to serve the people. He said humility was the key to success in life therefore people in responsible position should endeavour to emulate this virtue.

Admonishing people in high office the need to strive for humility as it is a crucial trait for effective leadership, the National House of Chief Member stated that humility allows leaders to be more approachable, build stronger teams, and foster a culture of learning and growth. It also enables them to make better decisions by considering diverse perspectives and being open to feedback.

Na-Pariyoung Kosom Asaga Yelzoya II made the call when addressing a crowd made up of the Clergy, Academia, Security Officials, Health Professionals, Business Moguls, students and community folks during a commissioning and dedication of Pentecost Hospital at Bolga on Wednesday 18th June 2025.

Speaking on the dedication, the Paramount Chief urged health professionals especially those to be working in the new facility to also uphold professionalism in their practice, emphasizing ethical conduct, patient-centered care, and a commitment to continuous learning.

He tasked them to be compassionate, caring, professionals and always remember their core mandate of providing quality care for patients whose needs should be of paramount importance to them.

This according to the Overlord includes maintaining a positive attitude, respecting the well-being of patients.
