A/R: Pankrono Development Union Raises Concerns Over Safety and Security of Tro Tro Passengers

Pankrono, Old-Tafo Municipal Assembly – The Pankrono Development Union (PDU) is alarmed by the recent trend of Benz bus commercial vehicles, popularly known as Moshie Zongo tro tro, dispensing with drivers’ mates and tying their gates open while in motion. This practice poses significant safety and security risks to passengers, particularly those sitting beside the gate.

As an organization committed to promoting community development and aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), PDU is concerned about the potential consequences of this development on the well-being of our community members. The absence of drivers’ mates not only compromises passenger safety but also undermines efforts to create a secure and reliable public transportation system.

PDU urges the Old-Tafo Municipal Assembly and relevant stakeholders to investigate this matter and take necessary actions.
