W/N-R MMDCEs Confirmation: We will not give Way for Military Involvement, Deployment- GAAM

The Western North regional President for Ghana Association Of Assembly (GAAM), who doubles as the Assembly member for Asawinso ‘A’ in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, Hon.Ackah Nelson Frank has echoed that they will not kowtow to intimidation by any military officer deployed to the region to victimize its members during the confirmation of the MMDCES which begins tomorrow 27th October, from the Akontombra district.

In an interview with GhNews1.com, the clamorous assembly member implied that, per their intelligence, they have gathered that, some authorities within the region have deployed military men to intimidate the assembly members during the confirmation, however, calling on them to renounce from such lawlessness.

Honorable Ackah stated their members remain uninterrupted by any form of intimidations from anywhere.

“We have gathered that, some people (authorities) within the region want to deploy some Military Officers to the various assemblies during the confirmation of the MMDCES to intimidate us, we want to state that, we are not startled by any form of coercion, I want to use this medium to inform those culprits to desist from that, since we cannot be daunted by their Military forces”, he continued.

In addition, he said the authorities must devoid of unnecessary tension which will obstruct the country’s democracy, especially in this twenty-first century.

“I will press the authorities to ensure the confirmation of the various MMDCES becomes free and fair. They should allow the assembly members to exploit their constitutional right and devoid of political interventions”.

He advised the various assembly members to remain steadfast and support the association to fight for the interest of the members.

“I will plead with the assembly members to remain impassive and support the association to fight for the progress of the members”, he underscored.
