John Boadu Congratulates Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
I am delighted to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your selection as the running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the NPP’s ticket for the December 7, 2024 elections. This is a testament to your dedication, hard work, and the confidence that the flagbearer, the party and its leadership have in your capabilities.
You were chosen from among other qualified and capable candidates because the flagbearer had to select just one.
It is important to note that, your selection comes at a time when Ghana and the world at large are facing significant economic challenges: High inflation rate, Currency depreciation, fiscal deficit, debt levels, unemployment rate and others. These challenges, which are having a strong impact on Ghana, need to be strategically addressed.
The Global economic challenges faced by countries like the UK, Kenya, South Africa and others have led the UK to elect a new leader with comprehensive policy measures to overcome those challenges.
In contrast, Ghana lacks a viable alternative with such pragmatic solutions. The potential alternative is not new, and Ghanaians have already experienced his leadership. Our flagbearer remains the only candidate with the economic expertise to address these issues, requiring policies such as fiscal consolidation, economic diversification, improving the business environment, and enhancing social protection. He has superior measures and policies to tackle these challenges facing Ghanaians.
Your role will be crucial in highlighting the key progress the government has achieved in all our state entities, even during these challenging times. The NPP Government is poised to overcome these challenges and make our beloved country a better place to live.
As you embark on this significant journey, I offer you my full support and best wishes for a successful campaign. May your efforts inspire and unite all Ghanaians towards a brighter and more prosperous future.
Congratulations once again, and may you lead with wisdom and integrity.
Best regards,
John Boadu.
