Bibiani College Of Health Fire: MP Calls On Government For Urgent Accomodation For Displaced Female Students

The member of parliament for Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency, Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng, has expressed worry and shock about the fire outbreak at Bibiani College of Health Sciences resulting in the admission of two individuals to Bibiani Government Hospital.

The incident, which occured in the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region, has left a total of 186 students affected.

Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng, in an interview with Peace News, has immediately contacted chief of staff, Hon. Fremah Opare, and has also called on the minister of health, Hon.Kwaku Agyemang Manu for urgent accomodation for the female students, so that they can continue with their accedemic studies in the school.

He said that the NPP government will do everything possible to restore their dormitory back and hinted that temporal accomodation has given and some mattresses were secured from STEM School at Awaso and, meanwhile, evaluation accessment has also been done to amicably help the female students.

Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng therefore appeal to all parents and guardians to take heart since president Akufo Addo-Bawumia’s administration and he( Alfred Obeng Boateng) will take charge to put the female students in safe hands and reconstruct the dormitories in due course.

Hon. Paul Andoh, the Municipal Chief Executive for Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai, expressed his concern over the incident and assured that the assembly would make every effort to support the victims and the college as a whole.
