Kwabre East Municipal Assembly in the first of its kind has observed 9 Lessons and Carol, the traditional Christmas service where nine Bible readings, or lessons, are interspersed with carols, hymns, and choir anthems.
The maiden service brought together all government and non governmental institutions in the municipality, including the police and security services, the Clergy, traditional leaders, Islamic leaders and Assembly members at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly.
The celebration fostered unity among staff, leaving everyone in high spirits as the Assembly heads into the new year.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Joseph Amankwah Nuredeen addressing the participants underscored the need for all people to stay in peace and unity irrespective of their religious affiliation.
He beseeched the Almighty God for long life and good strength for the President, his Assembly Staffs and himself in the working years ahead.
Delievering the sermon, the Minister in-charge of Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Mamponteng, Rev. Benjamin Kwame Boakye advised Ghanaians to never allow partisan politics and tribalism to separate them, neither should they develop hatred among themselves because they are one people with a mother called Ghana.
He stressed that the Chief Executive’s dedication and consistent leadership excellence have earned admiration from all sphere across the Municipality.

The significant event served to strengthen the communal bond of the Assembly while recounting the biblical narrative, from the fall of humanity to the promise and birth of the Messiah, Staff enjoyed a lively celebration filled with merry-making and dancing.
Through a thoughtful blend of scripture and songs, the service provided a meaningful space for reflection and joy in celebration of the Christmas season.
